Our Acts of Worship

We believe that every local congregation is autonomous and therefore each can and will determine its own liturgical structure based on their interpretation of Scripture.

From what we read in the New Testament scriptures, we find several expressions of worship or devotional acts that were done by the early Christians in different instances, individually and congregationally. Therefore, we have modelled our Sunday morning worship service to include, but not limited to, five (5) main elements.

Five Main Elements of Worship

Modeled by Early Christians in the New Testament
We believe that prayer is integral to the life of the Christian in that we must "pray without ceasing" (1 Thes. 5:17). Prayer is how we communicate with God. And while God puts no limitations on how we can pray, whether sitting or standing, audible or silent, private or public, formal or informal, short or long, we do find that all prayer must be offered in faith (James 1:6).
We believe in congregational singing.

Our congregational singing is done "a cappella," which is without the accompaniment of instruments.

We believe that every child of God needs to grow in knowledge of the Holy Scriptures.
We believe in the weekly observance of the Lord's Supper.
We believe that Christians are called to be good stewards of the things that God has blessed us with.
